Users can give a sample their approval during their session and additionally enter a brief note. These approvals and notes can then be reviewed in the Batch Sample Approval module, showing up to three cupper responses at once in to approve or reject the overall sample. ===== Sample Session ===== The sample session interface is designed to be used on touch-enabled devices. It can be accessed via the main menu by selecting **Traffic > Sampling > Sample Session (Notes)** Users can move quickly through their pending samples and register their quick reaction to each sample as it is tested or cupped. By default, only samples that do not have an overall approved/rejected status will be displayed. [{{:cats:procedures:sampling:pasted:20251011-000027.png|The sample session module. Showing four sample entries on one page.}}] The sample session will display as many samples will fit on the page. If more samples are listed, use the "Previous" and "Next" navigation buttons at the top right. Use the quick filter options at the top to quickly find specific samples. ==== Sample Session Menu ==== * **List Samples** \\ Show all currently displayed samples in a list format. \\ [{{:cats:procedures:sampling:pasted:20251011-012453.png|The list of samples}}] * **Filter** \\ Filter the displayed samples and change the display order. \\ [{{:cats:procedures:sampling:pasted:20251010-195738.png|The sample session filter dialog}}] * **Switch User** \\ Switch the ID for the current user. The associated purchase and sale contracts as well as the logistic details for the sample are displayed. Users can enter their notes in the text field. The date will update automatically. Alternatively, users can select the green check icon (for approval) or the red cancel icon (for rejection) and be prompted to pick from the quick texts for that respective category. Users can also pull up the quick texts selection by clicking on the "Quick Texts" link below the text field. [{{:cats:procedures:sampling:pasted:20251011-012304.png|An individual sample entry pending the user's note.}}] <note>Selecting the green check or the red cancel icon does not change the overall approval status of the sample. It will only update the sample note for the current user to reflect your selection.</note> Once a note has been entered, it can be cleared simply by clicking on the "Reset" link. [{{:cats:procedures:sampling:pasted:20251011-012238.png|A sample entry with a note entered. This is especially helpful when accessing CATS on a touch-screen device and also provides standardization across your sampling room. [{{:cats:procedures:sampling:pasted:20251011-013300.png|The quick texts dialog showing texts in the category "Approved"}}] Clicking on the "Quick Texts" or the green check or red cancel icons will bring up the quick texts interface. Clicking on a word or phrase will append that text to the sample note text field. Clicking on a tab will switch to that category. Multiple quick texts can be added at the same time by clicking them each in turn. <note tip>CATS will not duplicate a phrase that is already present in the text.</note> Clicking on "Undo" will remove the last added phrase or word. Users can click on "Undo" to remove as many entries as have been added. Clicking on "Clear" will clear all the text from the note field. <note tip>Clicking on "Undo" will also revert the effects of clicking on "Clear"</note> When finished. Click anywhere on the screen off the quick texts dialog or press ESC. ===== Batch Approval ===== The batch approval screen allows users to quickly approve or reject multiple samples at a time.
