The Sample Session module is designed to enable cuppers to quickly register their notes for one or more recent samples.
Users can give a sample their approval during their session and additionally enter a brief note.
These approvals and notes can then be reviewed in the Batch Sample Approval module, showing up to three cupper responses at once in to approve or reject the overall sample.
The sample session interface is designed to be used on touch-enabled devices. It can be accessed via the main menu by selecting Traffic > Sampling > Sample Session (Notes)
Users can move quickly through their pending samples and register their quick reaction to each sample as it is tested or cupped.
By default, only samples that do not have an overall approved/rejected status will be displayed.
The sample session will display as many samples will fit on the page. If more samples are listed, use the “Previous” and “Next” navigation buttons at the top right.
Use the quick filter options at the top to quickly find specific samples.
Each sample in the list is displayed with the sample reference number, type, date, and delivery period. The associated purchase and sale contracts as well as the logistic details for the sample are displayed.
Users can enter their notes in the text field. The date will update automatically. Alternatively, users can select the green check icon (for approval) or the red cancel icon (for rejection) and be prompted to pick from the quick texts for that respective category.
Users can also pull up the quick texts selection by clicking on the “Quick Texts” link below the text field.
Once a note has been entered, it can be cleared simply by clicking on the “Reset” link.
Quick texts allow a curated list of commonly used words or phrases. This is especially helpful when accessing CATS on a touch-screen device and also provides standardization across your sampling room.
Clicking on the “Quick Texts” or the green check or red cancel icons will bring up the quick texts interface. Clicking on a word or phrase will append that text to the sample note text field. Clicking on a tab will switch to that category. Multiple quick texts can be added at the same time by clicking them each in turn.
Clicking on “Undo” will remove the last added phrase or word. Users can click on “Undo” to remove as many entries as have been added.
Clicking on “Clear” will clear all the text from the note field.
When finished. Click anywhere on the screen off the quick texts dialog or press ESC.
The batch approval screen allows users to quickly approve or reject multiple samples at a time. Users can access the batch approval from the main menu by going to Traffic > Sampling > Batch Approval.
The filters on the top of the form allow users to find and select specific records. Change the filters and then click on Update List to refresh the listing.
Sample notes from up to three different IDs can be displayed at one time on the form. The default list of IDs to use is set in the Traffic Settings dialog, but can be modified here.
The approval status of each individual sample can be changed by clicking on the “Status” column for that record and selecting between “Approved”, “Rejected” or “Pending”.
Use the checkbox on the left column of the grid and with the Approve Selected or Reject Selected buttons to approve multiple samples at once.
Changing the filter can mean that some samples that are to be approved or rejected will no be visible.
To see all the changes made during the current session, click on the Show link at the bottom of the screen.
Once all the changes have been made as needed, click on Apply to update the sampling records.
