Occasionally, when opening an unposted invoice, you will see the following message in the upper right corner of the screen.
This message is displayed on unposted invoices when more than one user is viewing the invoice. CATS tries to prevent conflicts between users by showing this warning. You may also see this message when a user was forced to exit CATS or lost connection to the server while reviewing an invoice.
This warning lists the user ID that is also viewing the invoice. You can ask this user to exit from the invoice and return to the Main Menu. This will ensure that your user ID is the only one editing that invoice.
If you believe this message is incorrect, and no other users are editing the invoice, you can clear the other user ID from the invoice. CATS has the ability to allow users to place an invoice in a “Hold” state to prohibit other users from posting that invoice. Selecting “HW” from the toolbar menu will lock the invoice with your user ID.
The menu will change to read HH, which means that a hold has been placed on this invoice to prevent it from being posted. On Hold
will be displayed in the top-right corner.
Select HH from the toolbar menu to release the hold status.
The menu will read HW again. The invoice will no longer display the in use warning, and will read Pending
in the upper right.
You may now edit and post the invoice as you normally would.
