CATS 2414 - Release Notes

Our first full release in 2025 brings a bevvy of new features to make using CATS and sharing information across teams even easier.

[NEW] Shared Notes
Users can add and modify shared notes on specific screens in CATS. The shared notes can be customized and are visible to all users making it easier to coordinate shared information about your counter-parties, contracts, and invoices.

[NEW] Shopping List for Traffic Orders/Documents
Picking inventory for Sampling Orders and Delivery Orders is now a breeze. Users can select exactly the containers and units they want. Location screens are automatically subdivided based on the user's selections.

[NEW] Batch Edit Marks
A new option in the Batch Traffic module allows users to apply batch changes to all the selected marks (container) records as well.

[NEW] Batch Print Sample Labels
The Sampling module now supports batch printing of sample labels.

[NEW] Split Samples
Samples can be split into two samples with the remaining sample automatically approved/rejected based on the users selection. The user can also specify the sample weight for the split portion.

[NEW] Carry Fee Notifications
The CATS Service adds a new capability to calculate carrying fees automatically and notify counter-parties via email of their obligations.

[IMPROVEMENT] Sample Label Presets
Sample label dimensions and layouts can be configured as presets and selected at the time of sample label printing.

[IMPROVEMENT] Carry Fee Traffic Report
The Traffic Report mode for Carry Fee will filter for location screens where the customer has incurred a carrying charge based on the report's configuration.

[IMPROVEMENT] Late Shipment Traffic Report
The Traffic Report mode for Late Shipment will filter for location screens that are/were late to ship based on the contract's shipment position.

[IMPROVEMENT] Enhanced Accounts Report
The account counter-party report now includes a more comprehensive list of fields.

[IMPROVEMENT] New Fields on Traffic Screen
Booking number, empty pickup date, stuffing (load mill) date.

[IMPROVEMENT] Auto-Populate Traffic Containers
By specifying expected Container Sizes it is not possible for CATS to automatically populate the location screens with individual container records.

[IMPROVEMENT] Graphic Letterhead Selection
CATS now supports setting up multiple graphical letterheads and choosing between them when printing Invoices, Contracts and other documents.
