CATS has a search feature that can be used to quickly search and pull up the item/procedure you are searching. Access invoices, contracts, accounts, traffic forms from the quick menu interface by entering the identifier. Users can do this one of two ways: Search all skills or enter the one-character code for the “skill”.

There a few ways to access this feature. Go to ? > Search or press F5 (Ctrl + F5 on web-based) while in CATS. This will pull up a search bar.

Enter a search item term and CATS will give a list. Click on the item and continue as usual.

Accessing Invoices, Contracts, Accounts, Traffic Forms from the quick menu interface by entering the one or two-character skill code and then a space followed by the search criteria for that skill.
Skill character codes:

• Accounts “a”: find counter-party accounts by account code.
  • (example) “a BREW” lists accounts that start with “BREW”.
• Reports “r”: list user designed reports by their save name.
  • (example) “r MTM” lists all reports saved with “MTM” in their name.
• Invoices “i”: find active purchase/sale invoices using counter-party account code and/or invoice number.
  • (example) “i 515” lists all invoices with numbers starting with “515”.
  • (example) “i BREW” lists all invoices for counter-parties with account codes that start with “BREW”.
  • (example) “i 515 BREW” lists all invoices with numbers starting with “515” for counter-parties whose codes start with “BREW”.
• Contracts “p” or “s”: find contracts using counter-party account code or contract number.
  • (example) “s 160112” finds the sale contract with number “160112”.
  • (example) “p BREW” finds purchase contracts for sellers whose account code starts with “BREW”.
  • (example) “p BREW 231” finds purchase contracts for counter-parties whose account code starts with “BREW” with a contract number that starts with “231”.
• Delivery Order “do”: list delivery order traffic forms by counter-party account code or DO number.
• Sampling Order “so”: list sampling order traffic forms by counter-party account code or SO number.
• Shipping Advice “sh”: list shipping advice traffic forms by counter-party account code or SH number.
• Shipping Instructions “si”: list shipping instruction traffic forms by counter-party account code or SI number.
