The system provides an interstitial step between allocating purchase material to a sale and invoicing sold material. Put another way, you use the traffic delivery system to manage the “delivery” phase of the sale.

Traffic delivery provides unprecedented flexibility in how contracts are created, filled and invoiced to match more closely with the exact flow of business. A single delivery can incorporate information from multiple sales and multiple purchases (refined down to the container level) and use that information as the basis for traffic documents and invoicing.

The delivery screen interface provides several different ways of examining the material delivery. You can view the delivery as a list of marks/lots, or sale items, or location screens depending on what information you want to highlight. You can also track sale information and the expected vs. actual units and weight.

You can generate traffic documents and invoices directly from the delivery. This reduces the time it takes to generate these documents and eliminates errors.

The delivery system will also automatically update your invoices for you. As you move from provisional to final, you can make the adjustments to the delivery screen which CATS will automatically apply to the updated invoice.
