Allocate Purchases to Sales (Free Allocation)
The action of connecting purchases to sales is called allocating. Depending on your workflow needs, you can allocate from the location screen or from the sale contract screen.
Free allocation is a method of allocating purchases to sales that allows for partial allocation of material from a location without subdividing. This makes it much easier to sell in small quantities. It also makes it a simple process to add, remove, or adjust existing allocations.
Free allocation is the precursor step to the Traffic Delivery System.
These procedures require the traffic setting “Allow partial allocation of traffic screens” is enabled.
